Lidetta Nyala, Burayu and Sebeta lead group tables

Lidetta Nyala and Burayu Town finished top of their respective groups. In the first round national league fixtures. Diredawa Police is leading the eight sided Eastern Zone while Sebeta Town is in its group driving seat in comfort.
Former Hawassa Town’s popular head coach Kemal Mohammed for the first time with the capital city club, Lidetta Nyala defeated Debreberhan Town in the first round final match to finish top of the group with 16 points from seven matches that is a single defeat in eight matches. Two draws in a row Ethiopian Water Work FC finished second with a goal difference from Addis Ababa Police each having equal 13 points. In the other Central Zone group Zemariam Mengestu’s Burayu took control of the top spot with much talked about Asrat Haile sitting second two points behind. Diredawa Police leads the Eastern Zone with 11 points from seven matches while Oromia Police are second with 10points. Former Insurance striker Hassan basher at the helm, last year relegated from premier league Methara Sugar is third in the table with just eight points from seven matches.
Sebeta Town appears committed to be back to the upper tier after a single season in the woods. With no defeat so far, Sebeta leads the table with 18 points followed from afar by Hossana Town six points behind. Unfortunate Meta Abo Brewery under foremer Adama Town head coach is third with further two points down.
