“The foundation wants to help Africa stand on its feet; to be able to reach our full potential in every aspect. Accordingly, Africa’s art also needs to be nurtured to stand on its own and my presentation highlighted Africa’s contemporary art contribution to the world and what needs to be done to sustain it,” said Artist Lulseged.

The artist also showcased his paintings to the celebrations’ participants. “I am deeply honored by the ACBF’s recognition and invitation extended to me by ACBF’s Executive Secretary Her Excellency Dr. Frannie Leautier and the rest of the foundation’s staff to take part in this high level conference where I enjoyed a tremendous opportunity to promote my homeland and continent’s arts,” added Artist Lulseged.

It was on 8th February, 2011, the ACBF launched the celebrations that marked 20 years of its work in capacity development in Africa. On the same day in 2011, ACBF celebrated 20 years since its establishment in 1991.  The launch ceremony first held in Harare, Zimbabwe, came to a close earlier this month.
