Huajian announced that it signed a $2 billion, 10 year span deal with China Africa

Development Fund, China’s largest equity fund in Africa at the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the fifth All Africa Leather Fair (AALF). The leather fair by itself featured an impressive array of high end leather products especially compared to past editions of the fair featuring a record 185 plus companies from Ethiopia and 37 other countries.
The leather fair also had its entertainment side with a fashion show on Friday March 2, 2012 featuring all local leather products. However the Ethiopian Leather Industry Association (ELIA) stated that a pressing need for skins and raw hides should also be tackled if Ethiopia is to achieve its potential in this lucrative sector. The 5th AALF conference was unveiled in the presence of State Minister of Trade Tadesse Haile as well as representatives from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and COMESA LLPI.
