AAU, Korean Foundation sign Mou to launch Korean Language course.

The Addis Ababa University (AAU) and the Korean Foundation reportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would enable to launch Korean Language course in the AAU. AAU President Dr. Admasu Tsegaye and Korean Foundation Executive Vice President Zeon Nam Jin signed the agreement according to the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA). Speaking on the occasion Dr. Admasu said the academic collaboration is important for the university as it’s focusing on graduate studies to train instructors for 33 universities. The university is keen on sharing best experience of South Korea the report said. Korean Foundation Executive Vice President Jin on his part said the foundation is promoting Korean studies in different countries.  He said Koreans know Ethiopian affairs very well. The vice president said Koreans appreciate and will never forget the sacrifice Ethiopians paid during the Korean War. According to AAU external relations, strategic planning and partnership Vice President Dr. Hirut WoldeMariam, the university is providing Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Chinese language courses and French language in its under graduate program.
