Electric is back in second place after twenty four hours in the premier league’s driving seat. Sidama Coffee versus Defense Force at Hawassa today is the toughest showdown of the week end Ethiopian premier league fixtures.
Two final minutes strikes from Tafesse Solomon and Yonatan Kebede both coming from the bench, ten men Electric claimed back the league top spot for twenty four hours with a 2-1 victory over Defense Force. Tafesse leveled the score line fifteen minutes in to the final whistle and  then Yonatan’s winner came just at the end of regular time. Electric’s twenty four hourstay in the lead ended Wednesday evening after Saint George defeated Commercial Banks 3-0 with Adane Girma twice on target and the remaining from Ghanaian Sula Matobu. Saint George is back on top of the league table with 33 points with a game in hand while Electric second with 31 followed by Dedebit that settled to an away 1-1 draw to Hawassa Town. Ashenafi Kebede’s debut match winner with Diredawa Town over visitors Adama Town helped the side one step up from relegation zone while bottom of the table and under new head coach Negussie Desta  Air Force lost 1-0 at home to Sidama Coffee to stay down the drain with nine points. Today 13th in the table Defense travels to Sidama Coffee while, in poor form, Harar Brewery entertains 5th place Hawassa Town. Two matches on Tuesday, Electric to makes a strong derby against fifth place Commercial Banks and Mugher Cement, in high spirits  after a mouth watering 3-2 away victory over Ethiopian Coffee to seat 6th in the table  hosting Arbaminch Town.
