The second joint ministerial meeting of Ethiopia and South Africa was held last Tuesday in Addis Ababa.
The two countries deliberation focused on investment promotion, regional and continental security and international cooperation. The meeting was headed by Hailemariam Desalegn, Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the South African Minister for Foreign Affairs, Maître Nkoanamashadane. The two countries agreed to work together on matters of common interest in economy, politics, and trade. Africa’s economic giant, South Africa, is planning to invest in ICT, Telecommunication, mining and financial services in Ethiopia while Ethiopia hopes to invest in education and agro processing. The two parties agreed to enhance their cooperation in a mutually beneficial manner.
