A United Kingdom consultancy firm is eyeing business opportunity in the striving economy of Ethiopia. The Chief Executive Officer of Crown Agents, Terence Jagger, paid a four day visit to Addis Ababa. In his stay at the capital he talked with clients including officials of the Ethiopian Road Authority (ERA), Ministry of Health (MoH), Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, and Ethiopian Revenue and Custom Authority. In the recent past, Crown has advised the government of Ethiopia in the supply management of specific items and the development of curriculum for masters program. It also procured health equipment like bed nets for health support program, and prepared the standard bid document for the Ethiopian government in 2005. The current standard bid document is also prepared by Crown Agents. In addition, the firm is also working with the African Union in its engagement with South Sudan and Darfur both in the area of financial service and procurement management.
