The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority and two contractors signed contract agreements amounting to 323 million birr to upgrade two roads.
The first agreement with TIDHAR Construction ltd is for upgrading 2.8Kmof road from Abune Petros Square to Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute (formerly Pasteur Institute). The construction of the road will cost the city 144.4 million birr.
The second agreement was signed with Gebre-Hiwot Construction Company to upgrade the road from Goro Square to ICT Park roundabout. The 3.2Km road will be constructed at a cost of 179.3 million birr. The Addis Ababa City Administration will cover the cost for construction of the roads.
Similarly, the Authority and Omega Consulting Company have signed contract agreement amounting to 2.9 million birr to conduct a design study for five roads.
