Iran keen to work closely with Ethiopia

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad invited Ethiopia to attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) conference to be held in Tehran in August 2012.
Iran’s Health Minister, Dr. Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi, delivered a message to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Haile-Mariam Desalegn saying his country wish to work closely with Ethiopia in the area of peace, security, human rights and health sectors.  Haile-Mariam said Ethiopia supports the cause of the Non-Aligned Movement. The two sides also discussed bilateral and continental concerns.
The conference is expected to focus on human rights, environmental protection, stopping terrorism and other issues.
