Zone issues investment license

Investors with an aggregate capital of over 140 million birr have been licensed in Guji Zone of SNNP State in the just-ended budget year, the zonal administration said.
Zonal Chief Geda Robi said that the licenses were issued to 77 investors interested to engage in fresh and dry coffee husking, flour production, and hotel and service sectors, among others.
He said the administration has also provided 420,000 square meters of land to investors. Some of them started production and began rendering service.
Upon being fully operational, the projects could create 7,000 jobs.
The administrator said the investment capital exceeded that of last year by 110 million birr.
Currently, 273 investors with a combined capital of about one billion birr are undertaking various projects in the zone.
