Health Station construction underway


The construction of 33 of the 75 health stations which are being undertaken in various parts of Addis Ababa with a combined cost of 500 million birr has been completed, the Metropolitan Health Bureau said.
Twenty-three of the 33 health stations, whose construction has been completed, have started operation, the Bureau Head, Fanu Tsegaye told ENA over the weekend.
Upon completion of the remaining health station constructions, the health coverage of the city will be raised from the existing 60 percent to 100 percent, according to Fanu.
The cost of the construction of the health station was covered by the City Government, the Ministry of Health and Global Fund.
