Dedebit FC tops Premier League first round table

Dedebit Fc is on top of the Ethiopian premier league first round while Hawassa Town takes second place. Ethiopian Water Sport has stayed camped at the bottom of the table since the beginning  of the season. Getaneh Kebede finished as top scorer of the first round with  twelve goals under his belt.
With eight wins, three draws and two defeats, Dedebit tops the table with 27 points from 13 matches. Dedebit considered to be the most balanced side has had a good ride all through but  final weeks brought unexpected defeats to the team that cost them important points. Second on the table is Hawassa Town with just two points down from the leaders. Hawassa had been on the table’s driving seat on and off but the round final defeat byDefense Force pinned the team down to second place. The defending champion Saint George appears focused in its international fixtures. .
With Adane Girma yet to get back to his old form, Saints might stay lagging behind from Dedebit, a team that has become a rival since recent seasons. Down on the league table is Water Sport with just two points from 13 matches and Muger Cement one up with seven points and Adama Town further up with ten points.
Although the transfer window opened for two weeks and little news surrounding it, the second round of the premier league  kicks off this weekend with  fixtures likely to take place twice  a week  or five matches in two weeks time. This is sure to kill off the less privileged sides like of Adama, Muger and Water Sport.
