Political parties express readiness to accept election results with blessings

Different political parties, which took part in the elections in the Gamogofa zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional state, expressed their readiness to accept election results with blessings. The Coalition for Unity and Democracy (Kinijit) and South Ethiopia Peoples Democratic Movement (SEPDM) confirmed that local and city council elections were peaceful, fair and democratic.
The Zone’s Chairperson of Kinijit, Sitotaw Fola, said that the election was democratic and fair more than ever. Sitotaw said that his party is ready to accept the election results. Similarly, head of the zone’s branch office of SEPDM, Dawit Fantaye, said that the election has won credibility among the public. Vice President of the Ethiopian Justice and Democratic Forces Front (EJDFF) in the zone, Mulugeta Wondimu refused to comment on the election process. The Zone’s National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) coordination office head, Tesfaye Kidane, on his part said there was no complaint from political parties or individuals concerning the election process held at 879 polling stations in the zone.
