YEGNA: A tale of five girls

It’s all about girls, girls, and again girls with “Yegna”, the new series of radio program that consists of drama, music and talk show.

“Yegna” actually is more than a program or project; it has been set up to become a household brand. With the first single, ‘Abet’, released recently, it has become quite popular all over the country. This song, produced by Abraham Wolde and featuring Haile Roots, has received a lot of favorable response, including on social Media networks as well.
This program focuses on five girls who come from very different backgrounds, but their love and passion for music brings them all together. Out of this friendship, which developed coincidentally, comes out an All-Girl band.
These five lovely ladies have a double-act, [singing and acting], which they put to good use during their first live show held at the National Theater on Wednesday. The event was attended by leading business and art figures in the country. Besides the live musical performances, the evening also included a live scene from the ‘Yegna’ radio drama, as well as ‘Yegna Sa’at’ talk show, where audiences got a glimpse of what is in store for them. Elements of the show were also displayed on a big screen outside the National Theater for the public on Thursday and Friday.
You can catch up with the ‘Yegna’ girls on Sunday, every week, at 1pm on Sheger and Amhara FM radios.
