Tedros discusses with Luxembourg’s Deputy PM
The Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, on Monday, held discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, in Addis Ababa.
The officials  exchanged views on affairs related to security, in particular of Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan, according to the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Ambassador Dina Mufti.
Dina said they also conferred on the economic affairs between the two countries.
Dr. Tedros briefed Asselborn on existing differences and problems between Sudan and South Sudan. (Walta Information Center)
Kenyan Military Trained to Defend Against Chemical Weapons
Next week, Kenya will graduate a military unit trained to handle chemical and biological weapons in an effort to boost the country’s counter-terrorism abilities, Kenya’s Daily Nation reported on Monday.
“Through the support of the US government, Kenya has made strides in training a military unit, for the first time in Africa, capable of handling chemical and biological weapons, which have become a terrorism threat,” said Colonel Isaac Muchendu, Director of the Kenya Rapid Deployment Exercise.
