University Professors visited LG Hope Community projects


LG Electronics as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program has been investing in the agriculture and education projects in Ethiopia that gears towards the development of the country.

LG Ethiopia Office besides monitoring the implementation of the projects, it works continuously on the betterment and impact of its community development projects. The LG Hope Village project which is being implemented in collaboration with Cheonan Yeonam University has a model farm village under construction that aims to increase income and productivity of 150 households in Dudgedera Village in Sandafa Area. In line with this, three university professors along with LG CSR Unit team members and top management of Korea Community Chest Organization have paid visit to LG Hope Community Projects in Ethiopia. This delegation arrived in Addis Ababa on 13 of August 2013 and has deliberated meetings with the implementing organization World Together and conducted various activities since then.
During the press conference the team gave on Friday August 16, the team has also visited Teferi Mekonnen TVET College, Genesis and Maranata Farms to benchmark and enhance local standards and experiences. On the 14th of August, 2013, the team has undertaken LG Hope Village project visit in Dudgedera. As an extension of the LG Hope Village project, LG initiated elementary school sponsorship project.
