The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) announced the opening of registration for the 18th Addis Chamber International Trade Fair (ACITF),
the 7th AGRIFEX Ethiopia and the 3rd Tourism and Travel Fair to be held in the year 2013/14.
Previously, such trade fairs organized by AACCSA had additional events aside from the main exhibitions. Similarly, it was confirmed that a number of symposiums will be accompanying the upcoming trade fairs as stated at the launching event held at the Hilton hotel on the 19th of September. “Like any brand event, AACCSA’s international trade fairs evolved to reflect the various dynamic industries it represents and its growing acceptance by companies, as the number of participants from home and abroad grew from year to year. I am confident that those who participate in the events will reap clear benefits,” said Ayalew Zegeye, President of AACCSA.
He also stated that organizing trade fairs without proper evaluation is a waste of time and the feedback AACCSA regularly collects from different stakeholders firmly shows that the acceptance of a new product can be tested at such events. “Companies testify that participating in these events has helped them to come across different markets and examine their competitiveness to assess export opportunities, exchange experiences and initiate cooperation,” said the President.
The Chamber is currently in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 quality certification. “One of the areas the Chamber works on is improving customer satisfaction and service quality in the organization of the trade fairs,” said Ayalew.
The three events will be held on February 20-26 2014, June 19- 23 2014 and April 24-28 2014, respectively.
