As the 4th Addis Ababa Classical Music Festival comes knocking, the event promises to entertain on a whole new level.
Ammiel Bushakevitz is an Israeli-South African pianist who has received several awards including the French-German Forum for Young Artists Award. He has enjoyed success in his performances all over the world. Ammiel Bushakevitz was born in 1986 in Jerusalem, Israel, and was raised in South Africa. Among the many prestigious awards he received was the Richard Wagner Prize, a prize named after the renowned German composer, theatre director, and conductor who is primarily known for his operas.
After giving what is expected to be an outstanding performance in Addis Ababa University’s Yared School of Music, Ammiel Bushakevitz will have the opportunity to work with some students from the school.
The music festival does not just have Ammiel Bushakevitz performing, but also a number of artists from all over the world.
The list of artists includes Celine Ferland playing the flute and Monika Del Rio on piano, the two players come all the way from Poland to perform.
Another concert will be conducted by Pianist Thérèse Fahy from Ireland. The musical festival will begin on November 4th. Even though admission to the events is free, it is a highly sought-out festival and there is limited space. We advise you to go early.
