African ambition

The African Union conference hall was the site of the African Investment Forum conducted from April 8-10.

It was the precursor to a conference where people will hold talks on pressing issues for the continent.  Developing the textile and apparels industry as well as making cotton products more competitive was discussed along with agricultural commodity exchanges.
(Pictured) Debretsion Gebremichael, Deputy Prime Minister of Finance and Economic Cluster and Minister of Communication and Information Technology stated that “Africa, with its impressive current and potential economic growth has become a focus for international investors.” He added that the forum would help promote prosperous trade and investment between Africa and the international business community and help move the global development process forward towards a bright future
