As part of the 5th edition of the Addis Ababa Classical Music Festival, the Alliance Ethio-Française has organized a recital by French-Haitian pianist Célimène Daudet. The concert is going to be held at the Yared School of Music on Thursday, November 13.
Pianist Célimène Daudet has won many international solo competitions as well as the International Pro Music Prize in 2010.
The pianist was born in Aix-en-Provence, France, form French and Haitian parents, and took her first lessons at the local conservatory. Soon after she was performing and entered the “Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse” of Lyon in the piano class of Gery Moutier.
This allowed her to deepen her repertoire for violin and piano.
As both a soloist and chamber musician, she performed at prestigious venues throughout Europe and North America, and made a debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2013. Her first solo album, “A tribute to Bach” which was released in 2011, gained her many fans and earned her international acclaim.
