Don’t miss the culturally inspired, globally desired, and one of the most anticipated annual Pan African Fashion and Cultural event on the Addis Ababa Social Calendar!
The annual African Mosaique fashion and cultural benefit gala will be held at the Sheraton Addis on January 15, 2015 where all the proceeds from the night will benefit ECF Children’s Fund.
African Mosaique is a premiere platform that promotes and celebrates African fashion and design, and this year will be highlighting Lola Faturoti, a renowned designer from Nigeria.
The gala will present seven international and local designers who will showcase elements ranging from the festive to the ceremonial to the spectacular and classical. The models that will showcase these pieces include International African models, Sophie Ducasse ‘Tiga’ (Central African Republic/France) and Huguette Marara (Rwanda), as well as 25 outstanding Ethiopian models.
Ethiopian designers, including the top three finalist of the first Designer Competition held in collaboration with Bahir Dar University IOTEX Program, will showcase with emerging and established designers. The show will finally be concluded by the African Mosaique Collection designed by Anna Getaneh.
For the past 15 years, the proceeds from all African Mosaique events have benefited ECF Children’s Fund. It is an integrated development project for children and adolescents in Aleltu, located 55 km north of Addis Ababa, that provides a school, health clinic, feeding program and environmental programs for over 750 destitute and highly vulnerable children, mostly orphans and several thousand people from the surrounding communities.
