Roman Tesfaye, First Lady of Ethiopia, and Kaziuhiro Suziki, Ambassador of Japan to Ethiopia, have inaugurated an ICT center in Wolaitta Liqa School, fully sponsored by Japan’s Grant-in-Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Projects.

The centre cost 2 million birr has 50 computers and is expected to serve 500 students. “We, the Japanese, do not build large sports stadiums, huge headquarter buildings or elegant presidential palaces. We build small and local community elementary schools, and centers like this that will help students do more.” Roman Tesfaye thanked the Japanese for building the center said that it will educate and familiarize students to computers and new technology.
