Jano Band, dubbed the first Ethio-Rock group, is getting ready to release its second album. The group that has been rumored to have had broken up confirmed that it will be gracing its fans once more with new sounds that promise to exceed expectations.
During a press conference, it was stated that the group has been working very hard and will be releasing the second album in three months.
“The band members are closer to each other than they were five years ago. They are more mature now. We work as a group, which will show in the strong and unique music production”, Samuel Tefera, manager of the band said.
Samuel added, “We believe that this time our music features various genres. We are confident that we will reach a large audience because our artists have grown to be great performers.”
Jano will also start performing at Club H20 regularly starting next week. After the release of the album, the group will venture on a one month tour in the U.S, Canada and Europe.
Established five years ago, Jano Band released its first album entitled Ertale in 2012 and a number of singles after that. Band members include Kirubel Tesfaye, Band Leader and synthesizer; Michael Hailu, Musical Director and Lead Guitarist; Vocalists Dibekulu Tafesse, Haleluya Tekletsadik, Hewan Gebrewold and Hailu Merga, Drummer Yohannes Mekonen and Bassist Daniel Negash.
