Investment ties between Ethiopia, Dutch growing


The Netherlands Ambassador to Ethiopia, Bengt van Loosdrecht said efforts are underway to enable investors from his country to engage in agricultural investment in Ethiopia.

The ambassador noted that a business delegation from Ethiopia will pay a working visit to the Netherlands at the beginning of the New Year to strengthen trade and investment relations between the two countries.

He further said investment activities between Ethiopia and his country  are  growing, prompting the need to further expand the current investment undertakings.

“To date, some 130 investors are operating in Ethiopia,” the ambassador said, indicating that his countrymen are engaged in horticulture, vegetable and floriculture development in Ethiopia, with plans to ensure benefits for both countries.
