IGAD condemns terror attacks in Mogadishu


The East African sub-regional organization, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has strongly denounced the attack which was perpetrated by the Al Shabab terror group on Monday January 02, 2017 in Mogadishu, Somalia.

The terror attack targeted Mogadishu International Airport, the Headquarters of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), UN offices and the Peace Hotel and has taken the lives of members of the Somali police forces.

IGAD on its official statement asserted that “IGAD strongly condemns in the strongest terms these heinous attacks against Somalia, its people, and its friends bringing support to rebuilding the country and its institutions.”
