Super Monday brings Super League dream finales

Welwalo Adigrat University became the first Super League side to book a place in the Premier League next year, while a dramatic double fixture: Jimma at home against Wolkite and Hosana versus Halaba takes place on Monday.
Bahirdar versus Mekele took place 52 days late last week and the match ended in a draw. The much talked about battle to win Group (A) top spot failed to come true for Welwalo Adigrat now takes the driving seat alone and in comfort. Today the group’s biggest match takes place in Adigrat with home side 63 points plus 33 goals entertaining Mekele with 60 points plus 22 goals. Mekele needs to win by more than 11 goal margin to book an automatic place otherwise they will finish second and enter into a two leg play-off against group (B) runner-up. Unless a miracle happens it appears Welwalo will see their dream of being promoted to the Premier League next season come true.
The group (B) winners are to be decided in the final fixtures Jimma, with 53 points plus 15 goals entertains third in the table with 52 points plus 13 goals Wolkite. The other promotion contender 53 points plus 14 goals Hadiya Hosana could book an automatic place if they can get past Halaba which has 50 points plus 19 goals If both the home sides win the automatic promotion berth will be decided by goal differences.
The groups’ top finishers are automatically promoted to the upper league while the two runner-ups play a two leg play off with the aggregate winner joining the top tier.
