Why Ethiopia Bunna is inactive in players’ transfer market?

A foreign head coach Dragan Popadic back for his second spell, a successful “Family Run” 8Km race that raised 2.5 million Birr and a historic ground breaking move to launch a 35-40 Thousand seater stadium around Lebu locality, Ethiopia Bunna’s huge undertakings appeared a massive step forward to further strengthen the country’s most popular side. But what is happening around players’ mass migration and bringing in second fiddlers in place of the brightest ones tells a story totally different.
Team skipper and giant defensive midfielder Gatoch Phanom left to Russian side Anzhi while rising star full back Abdulkerim Mohammed and popular left full back Ahmed Reshid famously known “Shirila” are gone to Kidus Giorgis and Diredawa Ketema respectively. There come little known names Wondwosen Ashenafi and defender Tomas Meheretu from relegation survivor Wolayta Dicha, and Alemayehu Muleta from relegated Addis Ababa Ketema are so far the new signees.
The diehard Bunna supporters are unhappy seeing off their home grown best talents and question why their beloved team failed to retain the players who signed for humble sides like Diredawa Ketema. Unless the team stays strong, entertaining and title winner supporters could get frustrated and remain rather home than come to the stadium to watch games. If so happens the logic behind building the dream stadium is hardly convincing. Well signing foreign players might be considered a solution and running around for big name players pointless. Bunna supporters would be much happier watching their own home grown talents rather than be dependable on foreign players. The bottom line is supporters are hungry of results that go along with entertaining football but what is happening around players’ transfer is discouraging. Is there any one Listening?
