EFF postponed the new season kick-offs for the 3rd time

Ethiopian Premier League new season pushed further back into the first of November while the 2017 Cup Winners Cup one-off match between defending champion St. George and Knock-out holders Wolayta Dicha is set for 29th October.
As many football faithful predicted that EFF’s early announcement of the new season kick-off is too ambitious here comes the postponement for the third time. Initially it was set to 14th of October then postponed to 21st October but only for a further push to 28th October. Here comes the latest announcement that 5th November is the kick-off date in which five season opening matches to take place. “The delay is because of the request from clubs and the late kick-off of Addis Ababa City Cup tournament” stated the announcement.
The much anticipated Cup-winners-cup one-off match was also pushed to 28th of October with St. George entertaining visitors Wolayta Dicha. More than seven home grown big name players plus half a dozen foreigners under a Portuguese head coach the burden is on St. George while the knock-out champion led by upcoming Coach Mesay Teferi, Wolayta Dicha is the underdog capable of pulling huge upset.
