President Sahleworq Zewde accompanied by Silesh Bekele Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy and Amir Aman Minister of Health at the Ethiopian Airlines Skylight Hotel at the beginning of the week to attend Ethiopian Water and Energy Week organized under the theme “Transformation of Water and Energy sector for Ethiopia’s New Horizon of Hope.”
In the first Ethiopian water and energy week, stakeholders of federal ministry, regional bureaus, development partners, civil society organization, utilities, academicians, research institutions and private sector companies participated.
Over 75 research paper with various topics on sanitation, water, irrigation and energy were presented.
Exhibitions and business and professional networking sessions were also part of the event that was held from June 17 to 20.
