Five new coaches to lead Premier League teams

Five new Head Coaches are expected to rehearse in the coming Ethiopian Premier League season. They will lead Debub Police, Baherdar, Hawassa, Adama and Shere.
Two years after helping Hadiya-Hossana to promotion only to stay with the club less than half a season Girma Tadess has returned to the Premier League in style winning the Super League title with Debub Police FC. They had been struggling to return to the top tier for the last eight seasons. After a 1-0 cup final victory over title favorite Baherdar, Girma has secured a contract extension for the new season.
With just three defeats last season including the cup final, Paulos Getachew famously known as Mango is not new to the Premier League. A long time ago he helped Ethiopia Bunna finish runner-up only to get the boot from the back at a start of the new season. “We are not here to survive in the league rather to battle to be among the top six teams,” Mango told reporters.
Though he had served at Hawassa under other coaches this is the first time Adise Kassa will be the boss of the team entailing his assistant Temesgen Dana, the Coach who managed the Ethiopian national U-17 side, which recently  finished proud runner-up at the CECAFA U-17 competition.
Seeing-off Tegene Negash, Adama appointed new face, Sisay Abraham who is said to have good knowledge of football as well locker room management.
Sisay claims to know the team more than any other and promised to build a strong side together with assistant Dawit Tadesse.
The former Dedebit and national team assistant Danel Tsehaye led Shere Enda-Selassie to the top tier for the first time in the team’s history thus there is no doubt he is capable of leading his team during the new season. After a play-off victory over Jimma AbaBuna, Daniel is highly regarded as a strong minded personality who wins friends easily.
Addis Ababa has lost ground in the Ethiopian Premier League once home to more than half of the clubs at the top, now they only have  boasts Saint George, Ethiopia Bunna and the Army side Mekelakya for the 2018/19 Ethiopian Premier League new season.
Tigray the fast rising regional soccer power has been leaping fast and now commands four teams.
Newly promoted Shere Enda-Selassie, last season’s strong side Mekele and Welwalo-Adigrat University are home gowns while the former champion Dedebit was added to the force after changing its base to Tigray where its EFFERT affiliated sponsors: Mesobo Cement, Sure Construction and the likes are based.
The southern region also has four flag bearers: Hawassa, Sidame Bunna, Wolayta Dicha and new comer Debub Police FC.
Super League champion Debub Police replaced relegated Arbaminch thus the region has four strong sides in the league.
Despite running the country’s best equipped sport clubs Oromia’s only has two representatives in the league. Among the title contenders in the past four seasons Adama is the flag ship to Oromia then comes last season’s surprise champion Jimma AbaJifar replacing relegated Jimma AbaBuna. Owning the best stadium in the country and spending hundreds of millions of birr on the players’ transfer market Woldya lost its grip at the upper tier only to be replaced by Baherdar. The sea side city flag bearer joined Gondor based Fasil thus two sides call the Amhara region home.
The only representative of Eastern Ethiopia is Diredawa a side notorious for struggling relegation regularly. Sixteen sides will play two rounds of games. The  Ethiopian Premier League new season kick-off is not yet official.
