Oromia Police detain 200 in connection with last Saturday’s attacks

Oromia police have so far detained 200 people in connection with the attacks against innocent citizens on the outskirts of Addis Ababa.
Oromia Police Commissioner, Alemayehu Ejigu, said 23 people were killed in last Saturday’s attacks. That total has been raised to 26.
Additional security officers were deployed and works were underway to recover looted properties, the Commissioner said.
In a related development, the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) said it has deployed a team to investigate the human rights violations committed in the area.
