Beefing up Mekelakeya FC ahead of second round kick-off

Many consider Mekelakeya to be a sleeping giant as the club has almost a century old history along with a huge number of trophies and has a foundation of an institution ready to rise and compete at the highest level.
Although currently sitting 11th just four points clear off relegation danger zone with 18 points from 15 matches, taking active participation in the ongoing midseason transfer window appeared to be a readymade solution for Coach Yohannes Sahle signed four players believed to be capable of making miracles.
The biggest fish to land Mekelakeya is the former St George and national team versatile player Mentesenot Adane. The humble Menetesenot who had had four premier league titles under his belt left Adama Ketema to join Mekelakeya.
In replacement of Ghanaian Okutu Emmnauel, Yohannes handed a 16 months contract to the former Hawassa, Sebeta and Wolkite striker Israel Eshetu. The striker is highly expected to help the goal drought side that bagged only 10 goals in 15 matches.
Two premier league titles with AbaJifar and Mekele Ketema, the no nonsense defender Aminu Nesru is Yohannes Sahle’s first choice to strengthen his sloppy defense line. Aminu signed a 16 month contract.
Afar born Amin Mohammed who according to news sources played in different England and Welsh leagues is the latest footballer to put his signature to the Army side. The addition of Amin is expected to bring options for the team’s strike force.
