Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia and VItens Evides International Ethiopia (VEI), the Dutch Water Operators group signed today a long term partnership agreement to jointly promote WASH services for all. In an effort to support the Government of Ethiopia’s commitment to reducing the proportion of population without access to safe water supply and basic sanitation by the year 2030, the Sustainable Development Goal 6, both organizations opted to cooperate in joint planning, implementation, financing, resources mobilization, learning exchange and monitoring.
“This partnership strengthens our efforts towards improving the health and well-being of communities, especially children and women in Ethiopia. It highly contributes towards improving the overall health and socioeconomic development of the country,” Kulule Mekonnen, Amref Ethiopia WASH Program Manager said.
