Ethiopian Leather products exhibited in Paris

Ethiopian leather product companies have participated in an international expo on leather products held in Paris, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A group of companies, including Tiku Abay Shoes S.C, Ramsay S.C, Ethio- Leather Industry PLC (ELICO), exhibited leather bags, shoes and other leather outfits for the first time under the sponsorship of JICA (Japanese International Cooperation Agency).
Ethiopia’s Ambassador to France Ali Suleyman, who was present at the exhibition, disclosed that effort are being exerted to get registered the “Ethiopian Highland Leather” with the European Union.
Italy, China, UK, Russia and Hong Kong account for 75 percent of Ethiopia’s leather products destinations.
