Plan International, African Union Liaison, Pan-Africa Office, Ethiopian Airlines commemorate International Day of the Girl with Grand Girl Takeover

Plan International African Union and Pan-Africa Program Office in Collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines Cargo & Logistics Services commemorated the sixth International Day of the Girl on 11 October 2018 by organizing a grand girl taking-over of Mr Fitsum Abadi’s Managing Director Cargo & Logistics Services position at the conference room of Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services new cargo terminal facility.
Being part of the global mass takeover where girls from across the world step into the shoes of political, social and economic leaders, the hour-long takeover took place at the headquarter of the Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics services which is the 2nd largest business unit of the Aviation Group next to the passenger service. The session is aimed at outlining corporate sector commitments to promote girls’ rights in Africa and change perception around what is possible for girls and young women as decision makers and leaders.
“All corporate organizations should provide opportunities and enable girls assume such leadership positions and contribute toward girls’ rights and empowerment”, said Fitsum Abadi, Managing Director at Ethiopian Caro & Logistics Services.
