UAE Embassy donates food to vulnerable families in Amhara Region

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Addis Ababa, donated 300 food packages to vulnerable families in Bahir Dar, Amhara Region, in coordination with the Ministry of Women, Children and Youth (MWCY).
Filsen Abdulahi, Minister of Women, Children and Youth, was joined by Amb. Mohamed Alrashedi, UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia, in a symbolic ceremony of handing over the donation, which held at the Embassy premises in Addis Ababa.
The Minister said that the MWCY is currently working to support the nationwide endeavor to prevent COVID-19, through awareness creating and by availing various kind of support, especially these days while people with low economic status are highly affected by the pandemic, calling on government, private sector, and other entities to discharge their social responsibilities by helping the needy citizen. She expresses her special acknowledgment to the UAE Embassy in Addis Ababa on behalf of the Ministry.
