UNDP, GER supports 750+ Women-Led businesses affected by conflict

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Great Ethiopian Run (GER) have launched a crowdfunding campaign to support over 750 women-led businesses affected by the conflict in Afar, Amhara, and Tigray. With contributions from various sources including the Ethiopia Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF), the Japanese government, and individual donors, a total of USD 388,922 has been secured. GER’s ‘Running for a Cause’ charity campaign raised USD 50,000, while EDTF provided another USD 50,000. Additionally, USD 288,500 came from the Japanese government, and USD 1,816 from individual contributors. This funding aims to assist approximately 775 women-owned businesses as part of the Rebuild Her Business initiative.
