INVITATION TO OPEN TENDER
Organization for Welfare and Development in Action (OWDA) is a national non-governmental humanitarian organization established in 1999 in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. OWDA serves pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in the Ethiopia mainly in Somali Region. We have received funding from USAID/LEGO Foundation for the implementation of a project entitled “Access to Quality Early Childhood Care and Education in Emergencies” in the Somali Region.
The purpose of this advertisement is to invite competent contractors to procure the following items:
- Indoor play materials, mats, plastic chairs, tables, basic furnishing materials, stationary materials, indoor play equipment, and outdoor materials.
- Provision of hot meal services to pre-primary school children (including rice, beans, oil, and salt).
- Procurement and distribution of scholastic materials based on the actual number of students in the class (including exercise books, sharpeners, erasers, and normal pencils).
- Procurement of materials for the preparation of teaching and learning materials (TLM), including flipcharts, assorted colored paper, watercolor paint, glue, crayons, scissors, cardboard (cartons), small-sized wood saws, ropes, printing paper, assorted colored pencils, markers, hard paper (250 gm), and cardboard cutters.
Interested contractors who are qualified, legally registered in Ethiopia for the procurement of goods, and possess valid trading licenses while meeting their tax obligations may obtain the complete set of tendering documents at the following OWDA office during office hours:

The tendering is from 27 October 2024-11 November 2024. The deadline for picking the tender documents is November 11 before 3:30 PM and submission of tender is November 12, 2024 @10:00AM.
- Bids shall be opened at the OWDA Jigjiga office on November 12th, 2024, 10:30 AM in the presence of tenders who may wish to attend.
- The Organization for Welfare and Development in Action reserves the right to reject the whole or part of any or all Tender.
- NB: Both the receiving and the submission of bid document will be at Jigjiga office.
