FM Gedion Extends Condolences on Passing of India’s Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of the Republic of India on the passing of former Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh.

Gedion signed the Book of Condolence in honor of the former Prime Minister at the Indian Embassy in Addis Ababa today.

The Minister said Singh will be remembered as a visionary leader, a remarkable statesman, and an advocate for global progress whose contributions enriched India’s standing in the world.

He mentioned that Singh was a true friend of Ethiopia, noting that the late Prime Minister strengthened the bonds between the two countries.

On behalf of the People and Government of Ethiopia, Gedion extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of India.

“In this moment of sorrow, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved family, the People, and the Government of India,” the Minister added.
