Scholarship Opportunity for Admission to Sandford International School

The governing Board & management of Sandford International School are delighted to announce that scholarship places have been made available for the 2025/26 academic year.

Places to be offered

Places will be available for students entering our Year 7 cohort in August 2025.

Guidelines and Procedures

  1. The scholarship opportunity is granted to Ethiopian nationals who are currently in their    6th-grade classes at one of the government schools in Addis Ababa.
  2. The award is only available to students who can fulfill the requirements and criteria that Sandford International School sets.
  3. The Maximum number of scholarship places available will not exceed ten (10).
  4. If any student wishes to be considered for a place, they must be nominated by their current school.
  5. Students nominated by their school:  

a)      Must achieve a high score in the Year 6 national examination.

b)      Will complete a Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4) at Sandford.

c)      Must have excellent records of behavior, attendance, and punctuality.

d)      Will be able to demonstrate a consistently high level of performance at their previous school.

e)      Will have a positive attitude to self-improvement.

f)       Be in the age range of eleven to thirteen upon entry into the school

All government schools will be notified of this opportunity

Government school administrators will nominate students to the scholarship committee of Sandford International School. Applications can be sent before the announcement of the national examination results. The school scholarship committee will seek clarification in due course. If clarification is required, you can contact Mrs. Tigist Sitotaw and Mr. Tamer Kebede (registrar and admission officer) at admission@sandfordschool.org
