Ethiopia hosts International Dental, Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition

Ethiopia hosts the Third International Dental, Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition Africa (IDEA) from December 14 to 16, 2017 in Addis Ababa, UNECA Congress Center.
IDEA aims at bringing the major manufacturers of dental and medical equipment sector in a one place and exhibit their state of the art technology and products.
The annual international exhibition is dedicated to potential start for the cooperation between the international and local dental, medical and pharmaceutical industries and their professionals. The conference is believed to be a platform of business-to-business discussion among importers, manufacturers and researchers on the dentistry.
FRDE Ministry of Industry state minster DR. Mebrheatu Meles noted that the Government of Ethiopia, currently, pays special attention to the pharmaceutical manufacturing and has launched and is implementing a 10 year National Strategy and 5 year Plan of Action for the development of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Ethiopia (NSPA-pharma) that will address the public health priorities and will bring economic development for the country.
Moreover, the Ministry of Industry and Ethiopian Investment Commission are conducting a detailed study on the possibility of creating a ‘Pharma Hub’ by attracting anchor investors from the global pharmaceutical markets.
IDEA official opening summit will be held on December 14, 2017 and will be witnessed by the FRDRE Minister of Industry, FRDRE Minister of Health, the Italian Embassy, and the Ethiopian Associations involved in the dental, medical and pharmaceutical.
