Celebrating CBE’s 75th anniversary in style

The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in collaboration with Great Run Ethiopia held a 7.5 km race in Hawassa last Sunday. The competition featured over 1,000 people that was held to commemorate CBE’s 75th year anniversary.
Tilahune Haile, Harbo Shanona, Deboko Dekomo finished the race from first up to third in the men’s competition while in the women’s competition Yetaysh Mekonen, finished the race first while Beshoko Emushe and Yitayesh Girma took 2nd and the 3rd places.
Bekalu Zeleke, President of CBE gave money awards for the runners who finished the races up to the 10th place.
The race which was held for celebrating the 75th Anniversary on December will continue in Mekele, Adama, Bahirdar and Addis Ababa.
Literary competitions, blood donations, questions and answer competitions, and panel discussions are also part of CBE ‘s Golden Jubilee Celebration.
Founded in 1942, CBE currently has over 1,160 branches across the country with assets of 384.6 billion Birr as on June 30th 2016.
