Dilla takes the lead in Super League Group “B”

Dilla has taken command of group ‘B’ in the Ethiopian Super League after an incredible away win over Meki followed by a two wins and a goalless draw against Shashemene. Jimma Aba Buna is in second place.
After their three game winning streak, including the famous 2-0 away thrashing of Meki, Dilla looks capable of an unbeaten season.
Little known team boss Gebrekristos looks like he has built chemistry among the team and developed a strong defensive line committed to discipline that is also athletic enough to support the mid field. Dilla has yet to concede a goal in four matches, “Never concede a goal is the simple rule and in order to achieve that we have a strong team spirit,” remarked a player. Dilla is on top of the table with ten points from four matches. Despite a slow start including a draw followed by a 3-2 away defeat to Diredawa Police, Jimma AbaBuna has recovered, winning two consecutive matches. The latest was a 3-0 away demolition of Diredawa based National Cement. Modest yet famous for his patience Coach Girma Habteyohannes’ effort of mixing senior players with young talent seems to have worked. “We will be back to the top flight at the end of this season,” boasted a Jimma AbaBuna supporter who was still mad about what happened last season.
Kaffa Bunna, Selte-Werabe and Hadiya Hossana are in 3rd through 5th respectively with seven points in four matches each.
