Ethio-Electric cries mayday

Ethio-Electric FC has camped at the bottom of the table since December.
During a recent team meeting players complained of harsh physical training, the inferior quality of food and low incentive payments.
According to sources the officials promised to improve things but they want the players to be loyal and committed to the club. A huge incentive is also promised if Ethio-Electric wins the away showdown against Sidama Bunna today.
They have lost three in a row and have only nine points in 12 games.
Hopes were that changing coaches from Berhanu Bayu to former Ethiopian national coach Ashenafi Bekele would change things.
His trademark is hard physical training and tight defense and he has 30 plus years of experience. He was given an unofficial one million Birr signing bonus and an 80,000 Birr monthly salary plus a hotel stay two days ahead of every single match.
However, the arrival of Ashenafi whose major achievement was steering Adama to promotion and then finishing third in two successive Premier League seasons, has not achieved any better results than former coach Berhanu.
