One Ethiopian National killed in anti-immigrant violence in South Africa: MFA

One Ethiopian national was killed and another injured in the anti-immigrant violence in Soweto, South Africa, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia (MFA).
The injured Ethiopian is receiving medical treatment, the Ministry said.
Ethiopian embassy in Pretoria advised Ethiopian nationals who live in Soweto and its environs to take the necessary precaution.
The embassy further said it is working to ensure safety of Ethiopians in South Africa.
It also advised them to use telephone numbers 0123462110 and 0123462947 to get additional information from the embassy.
