Kidus Giorgis romp to Sheger derby victory against shambolic Ethiopia Bunna

Zerihun Shenegeta and Saint George heaped the pressure on Kassaye Arage with Sheger derby stroll at Adama while defending champions Fasil Ketema slipped for Wolkite Ketema.
The much awaited 44th Sheger derby at Adama stadium on Wednesday stood up to expectation for Kidus Giorgis destroyed its city rival Ethiopia Bunna in 4-nil score line.
A breath taking first half opener from Abel Mamo followed by three second half goals from Cherenet Gugsa, Frempong Mensu and Addis Gedey, Bunna struggled to form any cohesive response with the series of attacks floundering as they reached the edge of the box.
Bunna once again confirmed the impression they have left nothing to show this season on games where it really mattered. They not only lack the ideas to unlock opportunities but also the fighting spirit. Kidus Giorgis is currently on top of the table with 37 points while Bunna sits 11th sixteen points behind and just five points above relegation zone.
Asked whether he is under pressure following the crushing defeat, Kassaye deflected the issue suggesting that Ethiopia Bunna is always under pressure including players, Coaches and even Board members.
In one of the most important matches of the week, defending champions Fasil swept into sheer surprise surrendering to a 2-1 defeat to Wolkite. Two goals in a matter of a minute from Chala Teshita and Getaneh Kebede, the defending champions are getting further and further from the title contention. Fourth in the roster Fasil is ten points behind the leaders Kidus Giorgis. “Yes we are under pressure and it is time for the club supporters, officials and the players to unite for common goals” Coach Seyoum Kebede remarked after the loss.
