Addis Ababa hosted a special “Russian Cinema Night 2024” movie marathon on Saturday, August 24th, showcasing three recent Russian films: “One Hundred Years Ahead”, “Wish of the Fairy Fish”, and “Air”.
Organized by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, this event is part of the 9th annual All-Russian “Movie Night”, a celebration of Russian cinema coinciding with the Day of the Russian Cinema on August 20th.
This year, the event has expanded internationally, with screenings taking place in embassies, cultural centers, and other venues across BRICS and CIS countries, including China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Moldova, and Turkmenistan.
The marathon began with “One Hundred Years Ahead”, followed by “Wish of the Fairy Fish” and “Air”
