China stands ready to be the partner of Ethiopia– Ambassador

In a message delivered on the occasion of the Gregorian New Year, the Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Chen Hai, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the country’s rich history, vibrant civilization, and industrious people during his first four months in office.

Ambassador Chen highlighted the remarkable transformations occurring in Addis Ababa, often referred to as the “heart of Africa.” He shared personal experiences of exploring the coffee harvests in Yirgacheffe and the scenic views at Lake Hawassa, emphasizing the region’s allure and cultural significance.

Reflecting on 2024, he noted Ethiopia’s substantial achievements, including its inaugural participation in the BRICS Summit since joining the organization. The signing of the Ankara Declaration aimed at promoting regional stability, alongside ongoing national dialogue, underscores Ethiopia’s commitment to peace and prosperity.
