The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has officially convened the landmark Africa Commerce and Industry Summit (ACIS) 2026 at the Uhuru Gardens National Monument & Museum in Nairobi. Running under the theme “Driving Africa’s Next Era of Trade,” the summit brings together over 5,000 delegates from across 50 countries, positioning the continent as an integrated trade region, a frontier of global growth, and an immediate center for capital deployment.
Timed to coincide with KNCCI’s 60th anniversary, ACIS 2026 addresses the critical need to unite business leaders, policymakers, investors, and chambers across the continent to unlock the real productive value of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Opening the summit, KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto emphasized that Africa does not lack opportunity, but rather the practical connections between enterprise, capital, and markets.
“Trade expands when a business develops a competitive product and finds a customer. Investment becomes productive when capital meets a credible opportunity and a capable team. ACIS 2026 brings together the people who can strengthen those connections to turn macro-momentum into deal-level activity,” said Dr. Erick Rutto, President, KNCCI.
