Ethiopia Bunna’s Fetudin Jemal named City Cup Best Player

Addis Ababa Football Federation gave a lavish dinner party at Capital Hotel in recognition of the successful completion of the14th City Cup tournament. Eight teams including the four invited guests took part in the two weeks tournament from which Saint George emerged champion for a record sixth time.
Ethiopia Bunna midfielder Fetudin Jemal and Saint George Serbian Coach named 2019 Addis Ababa City cup Player and Coach of the tournament respectively.
Salhadin Said took two prize money for Best Goal and Top scorer of the event.
Although many football fans disagreed on crowning a player from a club that finished fourth and scored just two goals in five matches, emerging play maker Fetudin named Best Player ahead of Sebeta”s Tadele Mengesha and striker Salhadin Said. Fetudin pocketed a 65,000 Birr prize money along with a trophy.
Salhadin took double money prize for finising top scorer with four goals as well Best Goal of the tournament for the marvellous goal he scored against Wolkite Ketema.
The only foreign Coach in the league Serdan Zihojhov took the trophy with 75,000 Birr check.
Champions Saint George collected 750,000 Birr while runner-up Sebeta returned home pocketing 560,000 Birr. Third place Mekelakeya and fourth place Ethiopia Bunna collected 350,000 and 200,000 Birr respectively. The remaining four participants took each 150,000 Birr.
